ASUU Embarks On Indefinite Strike

Report reaching us has it that the academic staff union of universities has resolved to embark on an indefinite strike action. This followed an extensive deliberation that lasted for three days. All members of the union have been directed against going to teach or involving themselves in any academic activity. A document titled “Strike Bulletin No.1”, which was signed and issued by Ogunyemi, ASUU said the strike action was to be a total, comprehensive and indefinite action whereby no form of academic activities including teaching, attendance of any meeting, conduct and supervision of any examination at any level, supervision of project or thesis at any level should take place at any of the nation’s universities. According to the document, all means of negotiation had been exploited before the decision on an indefinite strike action was reached. JAMB Awaiting Result Candidates Have You Uploaded Your Results?

We have received an unofficial report that candidates who applied for 2017 UTME using "Awaiting Result" can now upload their results on JAMB portal. According to the report, candidates have been directed to visit JAMB accredited centres or JAMB offices to be able to do so. At the moment we are making efforts to verify this information as JAMB has not said such through any off its official mediums. However, if you registered for 2017 JAMB UTME with Awaiting Result and have been able to upload or update your o'level result details or you know some one who has done that, please do notify us here as soon as possible. If you stay close to a JAMB CBT centre or a JAMB office, we will appreciate it if you can equally help confirm if the process is ongoing and give us feed back on this thread.

JAMB Change of Course/Institution Will End After 2017/2018 Admission Is Concluded

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has disclosed that it will not close that the change of courses and institutions procedures, until 2017/2018 admission is concluded. This was disclosed by the JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, during an interview with newsmen. According to him, it was wrong for any student to observe that the board would close the change of courses and institutions procedure soon and advised candidates to avoid panic, but take time to make decision that is suitable for them, to secure admission into higher institutions.
