Got 230 in jamb, chose OAU and EKSU as institution, wanna study law and history and international relation respectively, the problem at hand now is OAU requires lit-in-eng for law while EKSU requires history for the proposed course...please which should I go for? Change of institution or course? NB: my utme subjects: english, crk, govt and economics

topsam1:all hope is not lost. For History and international relations EKSU may require History! but their are some university that accept government in lieu of history. Try change to school that does that e.g UNN, ABSU and UNIABUJA..... your jamb score cannot just waste!...do your research and map out school that will accept government in place of History!

I made 298 in Jamb... My o level grades are 1A1 3B2s and 1C5 giving an aggregate score of 80.25(using unilag's last year modality). The cut off for medicine last year was 79.38 which may likely increase this year..
My question is; does changing my institution affect my admission chances since I didn't choose the sch initially? Some peeps are saying I'll be admitted with that aggregate but I'd love to get ur suggestions on what I should do next... Thanks. Kinda scared

NOW LISTEN TO THIS: each department has it total number of applicants and also it total capacity. lets take med&sug for example! 7000students applies for medicine for a space of 180slots. Now all students results will be graded from 1st--7000th, and then the score of the 180th person is taking as the cut-off mark!...by so doing they have admitted the best 180 for the course!. 4]students did pass jamb wid 342,312,307 and so on. so you're really competing with d best! NOTE: unilag can't admit more than 150jambites!. so be wise 5]And No chance of course don't affect your admission chances!

My brother scored 205 in Jamb and I really don't want him to stay at home. I know that it is possible he gets admitted if he chooses the right school and combination. He is science inclined. What school and course do you suggest? |

loved21:u have 78.+ not 80.25 as u said. ur calculation is wrong. I chose unilag last year and I know what I'm saying. this how to calculate ur aggregate. A 8. B2 7 B3 6 C4 5. C5 4 C6 3. add ur five subjects relevant to ur course and divide by 40 and then multiply by 50. divide ur jamb score by 8 and add both ur waec and jamb score together. don't waste this score choosing unilag u didn't even meet last year cutoff with these ur results and I don't even think whether cutoff will decrease going by students performance on jamb. a word is enough for.......

The points for O'level results is as follows, A1- 10 points B2- 9 points B3- 8 points C4- 7 points C5- 6 points C6- 5 points Just use the above legend to calculate your O'level and divide your JAMB score by 8. This is the format UNILAG used last year.

pls 228 in my utme B3 B3 B2 C5 C6 o level i want to change to a less competitive course in Uniben, Structural engineering with just 47 applicants last yr and thereafter i would switch to Civil engineering or pure and industrial chemistry with 185 applicants lst yr and switch to chemical engineering in my yr 2 how does this sound fellas
